I recently chose this floor lamp as a replacement for my daughter's bedroom as her previous floor lamp (a completely different brand and model) broke, and I am really happy with it! The brightly colored lampshades are made of a hard and durable plastic, and the base is very sturdy that it doesn't lean or tip when placed on high pile carpet.
