This light is very bright. I use it for reading in bed, where I can focus it on my book without lighting the rest of the room. But if I need to see more of the room the flexible neck makes it easy to point at other locations--to see where my cat is making trouble, for example. I can also point it at the ceiling to illuminate a larger part of the room. I have another one of these lights over my sewing table where it would not be enough light alone but is good for dispelling shadows that escape other lights. The light is easy to install on the wall although the tiny screws are easy to drop and lose on the floor.

I like this lamp! It is very heavy and stands as a center of a table. The white shade allows the lamp to give off much light. Im glad I bought this lamp and recommend you do too.

I love the look of these lamps. They are simple but stylish and work perfectly for the home office. Plenty of light too!
