I bought this for my dining room and it worked out perfectly. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The light was easy to install -- my husband and I have replaced a few lighting fixtures in our day so we were able to do it despite the minimalist instructions. If you have never replaced a light fixture before, just find a tutorial on the internet and that should cover you.
