The lamp is the perfect light wood color for our reading/TV watching room. Just the right height. The shade is white, and it allows a lot of light to fall on the pages of a book. It can take a three way bulb, too. Vakkerlight had come through once again!

After trying several sets of light for our living dining room we settled on this one for living room. It was on the cheaper end of the vibe we wanted and looks the nicest. My only complaint is that several pieced did come scratched, as we noticed upon assembling. Luckily it's not easy to see those minor flaws from down below so we decided to keep it. It was easy to assemble and worked great on out angled ceiling. Overall I'd recommend this product. It's definitely the focal point of out house and looks amazing!
