Our Raine chandelier was inspired by the vintage Murano glass lighting made popular in the `60s and `70s. The tear-drop silhouette is embellished with rounded layers of lustrous, blue smoke seedy glass, in staggered sizes, that fold over a tiered iron frame, which is finished in antique brass. The result is a dramatic and textural waterfall effect. The glass pieces can be removed to provide additional illumination if desired. Finish will vary.

The shade is fine; plain, but nice looking. The lamp base is weighted which makes it very sturdy.
Useful as a floor lamb in back of a chair for reading. My wife says that its a bit too tall, but I like it - the distance between the bulb and my books when I read is perfect.

We bought three - two for over nightstands for an ambient night light against a dark green wall. Another is located above the bar table in the dining area, where the setting sun makes the glass effect of the light fixture sparkle. We have had more compliments about these lights than any others in the house. They are phenomenal. There is enough down wire to accommodate our 12 foot ceilings in both areas.
